Controller in My Hand, But No Control in My Heart

I turned on the game today to escape.
Not to rank up.
Not to flex.
Not even to laugh.
Just to disappear for a little while.
But when I hit that loading screen…
something heavy sat in my chest.
It wasn’t lag. It wasn’t bandwidth.
It was me.
I’m the one stuck buffering.
Lately, real life’s been pressing buttons I can’t map.
And while I can usually shake it off with some gameplay or a good beat,
today just feels different.
The controller’s in my hand…
but I don’t feel in control of anything else.
So I logged in here.
Not to play — but to post.
Not for the games — but for the real ones.
Because The Gamerhood ain’t just about joysticks and jump shots.
It’s about being able to say:
“Yo… I’m not okay today.”
And not feel weird for saying it.
Whether you’re feeling stuck, heavy, distracted,
or like the whole world’s pulling at your power cord…
this is where you can speak on it. Or sit in silence.
Either way, I see you.
This is Scroll #001.
The first of many.
Some will be funny. Some will be healing. Some might get deep.
But every scroll will be real.
So if you’re reading this…
Welcome to The Gamerhood.
Where every day might feel like a boss battle —
but at least you’re not solo.
We’re all just trying to load in.
One scroll at a time.
